One year ago I met my bestest friend, the love of my life, and my ultimate partner in crime. I’m a bit late to posting (because life), but Feb 15th was by far one of the greatest days of my life. The moment I met him, I knew. Everyone says that annoying saying “when you know, you know” but I am here to testify that is 100% accurate. I knew I would fall in love the moment I was greeted me with that tight hug. The funny thing is I almost bailed that weekend. I was so close, but my gut told me to go and have fun for once in my life. So I did, and I haven’t looked back since.

Ever since the day we met, we have shared secrets, childhood memories, hobbies, annoyances, and created our own very idiotic secret language. But that’s what you do when you love someone. You become a person you never thought you could be. Happy, motivated, positive, and most importantly a loving human.

I firmly believe everyone has someone for them and everyone will go through something somewhat terrible before they find the perfect partner. Love happens when you least expect it. It happens after you feel like love doesn’t even exist. After you have gone through a relationship filled with emotional torture, lying, cheating and everything in between. It’s there waiting for you when you finally decide to move on and leave the past behind. Getting over someone you thought you loved seems impossible, but after few too many self care books, moving 1,600 miles away (this isn’t for everyone, but it helps), and focusing on yourself for once in your life, it happens. The hurt, the anger, and the worst memories finally go away. And if you try hard enough, you’re left with only the best memories from what seems like a past life.

Your moment is coming. Whether that moment is a new job, relationship, or city. Love is waiting for you in so many different ways. Love is screaming for you to come find it. I like to think I am lucky for finding the most amazing human being, but I’m not. Fate just happened into my life.

And per my last blog, everything happens for a reason. 😉

First of all, happy new year. It’s freaking 2020. I mean that sounds unreal. We are living in a world with the ultimate internet chaos, new inventions happening every day (for instance, period panties. yeah, don’t ask), and people spending hours on end to create a 30 sec video hoping it goes viral. Yet, I have loved every second of this crazy year and can only hope 2020 brings just as much laughter, love, and adventure.

So with a new year that means new resolutions, right? Some people don’t believe in them. I, however, think they are wonderful and fun and something everyone should take part in. I mean why start a new year with zero goals, right? So read below if you want the ultimate inspo, maybe to shed a tear, and realize this new year is all about you and your aspirations.

My Greatest Intentions for 2020

  1. Figure out a way to incorporate avocado into every meal. 🥑
  2. Learn how to drink coffee at home.
  3. Get rid of my apartment mouse who refuses to pay rent. 🐀
  4. Do more double chin exercises.
  5. Find other shows to watch other than Chopped and New Girl.
  6. Pet more doggies and wave at more babies.
  7. In 2020, I will stop buying chocolate chips just to eat the entire bag.
  8. This one might be the hardest, but I will clean up my kitchen the same night I dirty it…
  9. In very much contrast to #2 I will explore every single coffee shop in NYC. So far, three down – 46,953 more to go.
  10. Last but not least, give Matthew more kithes. 🥰🥰🥰

I hope I made at least one person laugh (besides my boyfriend) and I hope at least one person thinks about making their resolutions fun instead of so typical. In all seriousness, happy new year and happy Jan 7th. I will add posting a blog post on time to my list as well.

All for now, loves.

Okay, okay. I know. I have been off my game lately. School, work, and life get in the way sometimes, but a friendly soul gave me the push to get back to my blogging space and create some great content.

I originally started this blog for me and my love of fashion. So here we are with my idea of fall trends. In other words – I wanted to showcase some of my favorite fall pieces this year that I use to really bring an outfit together.

First we have the classic over-sized blazer suit. This is actually one of my wardrobe favorites at the moment because it is truly so iconic. The plaid stands out in an interview, at work, or if you’re just walking the streets in SoHo. I promise someone will compliment your style if you have on a funky suit. I bought this set from Modcloth.com but the label is Rolla’s. It’s comfy, the perfect amount of oversized, and so easy to dress up or down.

PS – if you really bad, you will mix and match your plaids. Now that’s a look. Maybe.. coming soon?

Next I want to spotlight my favorite accessory at the moment – bucket hats. They are honestly everything I have ever wanted and more. It gives an outfit a cool, edgy vibe even if you are one of the most uncool people ever (aka me). Both bucket hats pictured were purchased from Urban Outfitters.

Although this next outfit was technically my Halloween look, it is probably the number 1 fall trend for anyone – a chic all black outfit. I was your typical witch for Halloween, but I found so much joy in wearing all black without feeling basic. This baby doll dress is from Zara, and it actually made me feel the least amount of basic. I added the layered necklaces to pull the whole look together and immediately wanted to wear this outfit for the rest of the year.

Next trend that some people probably hate is pairing a fun pair of socks with any shoe in your closet. Its funky and risky, but that’s what fashion is all about. I personally love pairing socks with just about any shoe I own because if you know me, you know I have an obsession with my shoes. This way I can wear some of my summer sandals in the winter and feel great about it. Someone once said “Socks with sandals will always be cute, and I don’t care what anyone says.” I will hold onto that statement for the rest of my life, and I challenge anyone reading to try this trend regardless what your uneducated fashion friends might say.

Ultimately, dress however you want, but always dress to impress. Feeling unmotivated and lazy one day? Throw on a big sweater and jeans and add a popping lip color. Never settle for a man, and never settle your outfits, ladies and gentleman.

That’s it for today’s fashion trends. I hope this post inspires someone to step out of their comfort zone and take some fashion risks. 🙂

With summer being un officially over, I wanted to dedicate a post to some of my favorite outfits. This past summer was filled with adventure, fashion, love, and whole lot of work. Although I did work a ton, I’m thankful for my job that allows me to dress expressively. Of course we have a dress code, but I am always able to find creative ways to incorporate my style into work appropriate outfits.

This summer consisted of sneakers, midi skirts, dresses, and a much needed haircut. Commuting to work every day ultimately means comfort but make it fashion. And lets be honest, skirts/dresses are the best way to make that happen. I can’t begin to describe to amount of days I threw on a dress or skirt because I was too lazy to pick out an intricate outfit.

Above are some of my favorite outfits that honestly don’t take a lot of effort. I am the absolute worst at overthinking outfits. I try to plan out what I’m going to wear the night before, but life happens and I can’t always do that. These are for the mornings I’m rushing to get ready (which is about 90% of the time). It’s easy, comfortable, and always fashionable.

I told you I wore skirts and dresses all summer, but these above outfits are for my vintage moments. I love a good vintage find and luckily there’s a shop on nearly every corner. Recycled fashion is becoming a global trend not only good for your closet, but for the environment as well. ♡

This last set of outfits are for all the times I actually wore pants. My absolute favorite casual look is when I throw on my Target overalls. There are so many different ways to wear them, and they’re so comfortable. If you can’t tell, I’m all about fashionable comfort especially when it’s 90 degrees outside.

I’m not ready to accept the fact that summer is over, but fall brings in sweater weather, boots, and more midi skirts! I can’t wait to incorporate most of these summer outfits into fall/winter because anything is truly possible when is comes to fashion.

School has started back so study hard, always dress to impress, and never forget what your goal is. Whoever might be reading, I hope you have a wonderful day!
