An Ode to Summer 19

With summer being un officially over, I wanted to dedicate a post to some of my favorite outfits. This past summer was filled with adventure, fashion, love, and whole lot of work. Although I did work a ton, I’m thankful for my job that allows me to dress expressively. Of course we have a dress code, but I am always able to find creative ways to incorporate my style into work appropriate outfits.

This summer consisted of sneakers, midi skirts, dresses, and a much needed haircut. Commuting to work every day ultimately means comfort but make it fashion. And lets be honest, skirts/dresses are the best way to make that happen. I can’t begin to describe to amount of days I threw on a dress or skirt because I was too lazy to pick out an intricate outfit.

Above are some of my favorite outfits that honestly don’t take a lot of effort. I am the absolute worst at overthinking outfits. I try to plan out what I’m going to wear the night before, but life happens and I can’t always do that. These are for the mornings I’m rushing to get ready (which is about 90% of the time). It’s easy, comfortable, and always fashionable.

I told you I wore skirts and dresses all summer, but these above outfits are for my vintage moments. I love a good vintage find and luckily there’s a shop on nearly every corner. Recycled fashion is becoming a global trend not only good for your closet, but for the environment as well. ♡

This last set of outfits are for all the times I actually wore pants. My absolute favorite casual look is when I throw on my Target overalls. There are so many different ways to wear them, and they’re so comfortable. If you can’t tell, I’m all about fashionable comfort especially when it’s 90 degrees outside.

I’m not ready to accept the fact that summer is over, but fall brings in sweater weather, boots, and more midi skirts! I can’t wait to incorporate most of these summer outfits into fall/winter because anything is truly possible when is comes to fashion.

School has started back so study hard, always dress to impress, and never forget what your goal is. Whoever might be reading, I hope you have a wonderful day!
